When communities face a crisis, timely support can make a real difference.
Mountain communities can be particularly vulnerable to earthquakes, extreme weather, health emergencies, and other disasters. Everest Mera Foundation works with local communities and partners to respond to urgent needs and support vulnerable families during difficult times.
Our emergency support may include essential supplies, temporary shelter, food and humanitarian assistance, educational support, and other immediate needs identified by affected communities.
Our commitment to disaster response comes from experience. Following the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal, relief efforts supported communities in Mahakulung with thousands of tarpaulins for emergency shelter and assistance with rebuilding earthquake-damaged classrooms.
For us, disaster response is not only about immediate relief. It is also about helping communities recover, rebuild, and become stronger and more resilient for the future.
